Michael E. Driscoll, Ph.D.
Michael E. Driscoll has a decade of experience developing large-scale databases and data mining algorithms within industry, government, and academic institutions. He founded and until 2008 served on the board of CustomInk.com, an Inc. 500 online retailer. Michael has a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Boston University and an A.B. from Harvard College.
Puneet Batra, Ph.D.
Puneet Batra creates models that capture the connected features of complex data sets. He has built predictive systems across a diverse landscape, from product recommendation engines and social graph-driven customer models to fundamental particle physics interactions. Puneet has a Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford Univeristy, and an A.B. from Harvard College.
John Mount, Ph.D.
John Mount is an expert in web-scale algorithms and statistics. His interests include optimization and recent positions includes directing research at online retailer Shopping.com. John has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and an A.B in Mathematics from U.C. Berkeley.
Spencer Graves, Ph.D.
Spencer Graves has deep experience in applying statistical methods to business phenomena ranging from semiconductor manufacturing to quantitative finance. He has held positions with PDF Solutions and Hewlett-Packard, and is the author of five software packages, numerous publications, and two books in the field of applied statistics (Functional Data Analysis with R and Matlab). Spencer holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Masters degrees in Mathematics and Industrial Engineering, and a B.S. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
David Katz, M.A.
David Katz has been in the forefront of applying statistical models and database technology to marketing problems since 1980. He is one of the founders of Abacus Direct Marketing and was previously the Director of Database Development for Williams-Sonoma. David holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.
